Old News
12/9/12
Hmm, so much for my plan to move this page here for more frequent updates. I’m not so good with the frequent updates. But I decided to date my updates so you’ll know exactly how up-to-date or out-dated this update is.
Whew, that was a lot of dating.

There’s some more good stuff going on, but not all of it has been announced. So I guess you should probably just subscribe to my blog since that’s probably a better way to learn what’s going on in a more timely fashion. Unfortunately, I have no idea how you do that. But the good news is, you probably do.
But really, I couldn’t be more excited about all of the amazing books that are on the shelves or about to come out from my authors. I know I’m bad about updating the news here, but it’s only because I’m busy working and shouting the news elsewhere.
I hope you have a chance to check out some (or all!) of these titles. Thanks for reading–the books and my blog.
Also, sorry but Wolfson Literary Agency is currently CLOSED to submissions.

May 2012? This pre-dates the dating, so I’m just guessing here.
Oh man, oh man. Where do I start???
I guess first I’ll say that I have moved my “Agency News” page from my website over to my blog so that I can finally update it myself. After four plus years of promising my brother-in-law that I would learn Contribute or Java or something or other, I just said well, it’s clearly not happening, but since I can sort of manage the no-frills blog update, let me add the no-frills agency news update here, so I can be more up-to-date.
I guess I’ll just pick up where we left off and go from there.
When we last updated, I had just let you know that you don’t need to worry about the end of the Paranormalcy trilogy, since we had just sold FOUR new books by Kiersten White, which HarperTeen plans to bring out twice a year beginning in February 2013. Of course the first is the much talked about MIND GAMES, and the cover was just revealed round the blogosphere, including here. GO take another look at its gorgeousness.
But until that begins, we have the final installment in Evie’s story–ENDLESSLY!! This book is coming out July 24th and if you haven’t ordered it yet, go do it now. I’m telling you that Kiersten really knows how to wrap up a trilogy.
Of course last fall also brought the release of Alexandra Levit’s BLIND SPOTS: The 10 Business Myths You Can’t Afford to Believe. If you’ve been affected by this economy (and who hasn’t), then Alexandra probably has some excellent, practical tips for you.
Moving on, we had the sale, and subsequent release of Tawna Fenske’s GETTING DUMPED (Part 1) and Travis Sentell’s FLUID, both from Coliloquy, the incredibly exciting new ePublisher of active fiction. If you haven’t heard of Coliloquy, you should check them out ASAP (and you may as well look at Tawna and Travis’s books to do so).
Daisy Whitney, author of The Mockingbirds and The Rivals, whose book WHEN YOU WERE HERE is coming out with Little Brown Books for Young Readers next spring, wrote another book–STARRY NIGHTS, and she will be moving to two books a year as well. Bloomsbury will be Daisy’s second publisher and we couldn’t be more excited. They are experts at publishing magical realism and STARRY NIGHTS, pitched as Shakespeare in Love meets Night at the Museum, set in a modern day Paris inhabited by artists, muses, secret art societies, and paintings that come alive at night with a boy who falls in love with a girl trapped in a painting–well, to say that Michelle Nagler and Caroline Abbey fell in love with this manuscript…I don’t think that even begins to describe it. Just wait until you see what Daisy has in store for you in 2013. I am SO EXCITED.
Two books a year–it’s in the air at WLA. Kasie West became the third author to join that schedule this spring when her contemporary YA books sold to HarperTeen, the first of which is titled THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US. This humorous love story is about a girl who has her lifelong disdain of the wealthy challenged by the son of a hotel mogul, whose attention and loyalty almost convince her that being rich isn’t a character flaw, until she finds out that money is a bigger part of their relationship than she realized. It’s scheduled for Fall 2013, but let’s not let it be overshadowed by her debut, PIVOT POINT, which is deliciously spectacular. I’m not sure exactly what that means, but a lot of people have said it, so I’m going to agree.
But enough about the sales. What about the upcoming books??
